The Chicago fans enjoyed the offense provided by Griffey Jr. He launched a rocket-shot out of the park for a Grand Slam homerun (his 8th of the season) in the 1st inning and doubled in the 4th inning. Chicago had 10 hits for the game and Lewisville had 7. Woody Williams(4-4) allowed 4 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the victory. Francisco Cordero was credited with his 8th save. Zach Day(1-3) was tagged with the loss. The winning ways continue for Chicago. They now have a record of 9-1 in recent days. With the loss, the Lewisville ballclub's record is 32-41.
